Baby Watch is Over
My niece (Bo’s daughter) arrived this morning a little before 8am. Emma Harvey has now joined the Harvey clan. She’s healthy, full-term, and we can hold her! It’s a totally different experience than what was going on this time last year…when Ryleigh was born at 24 weeks and spent over 3 months in the NICU.
So what does this mean for the kayak shop?? CHAOS! We’re down a few workers to start and now we won’t be seeing Bo’s face up at the shop for awhile. So, if we all seem a little over-worked and stressed, just know that it’s not because we don’t love what we do. We’re just having to run after a 1 yr. old who’s learning to stand and walk and a 1 day old infant.
Although the bright side is that in 15 years, we’ll have two more awesome employees at the shop.
Congrats Bo and Jenny!

Aloha 2010!
I know…it’s February, and I’m just now posting a greeting to the new year. Contrary to how that looks, I’m SO EXCITED for 2010!!! 2009 was a rough year, but I have a feeling that 2010 is going to be stellar.
It started off on the right foot. In case you haven’t noticed, our website (www.hotkayaks.net) has been totally redone (huge thanks to TMac for building such an awesome website). Now you can see all the kayaks and accessories that we sell, and more are being added daily. Not only can you see the items…you CAN BUY THEM!! We’ve got an online store!! With free shipping on all orders over $50. That’s a great way to start off 2010.
So, Aloha 2010! Hopefully it will be a year full of rivers (with water), kayaks, friends, fishing, and a ton of online sales!

HOT Kayaks is branching out!!
Hey guys,
Well, in the excitement of rolling out our new website, we have actually picked up a few new products. We will now be carrying a line of daypacks, including daypacks for kids, from a com pany called LittleLife. We saw these products at Outdoor Retailer last summer, and have finally made the leap to carrying some of their great products.
The real jewels here are the kid’s daypacks. The company’s idea was to create daypacks for small children so they could get used to carrying a daypack while the family is out. These things are ridiculously cute, as they look like a turtle , or cow, or ladybug. They also come with a harness so parents can keep a connection to your little munchkin. Take a look, think you guys will like them!!

Check out some of the others too!! See you all soon on the water.
